It's REALLY REAL
It's been just over three weeks since the launch of my website introducing Uptempo. There are still times when I pause and think, Wait a minute, that's my book. Or, Wait a minute, there are hundreds of people out there right now reading my words. I don't know when or if the newness of that will ever wear off or if there will ever be a time when it doesn't feel so surreal (For many reasons I hope not), but I'm going to continue to enjoy every second of every minute while it's here!
The last couple of weeks have offered many memorable moments and connections that I never saw coming. I couldn't have predicted that my former classmates from elementary school (yes, elementary) would be so willing to support and read Uptempo. I hadn't seen most of them in over 17 years. Thanks again to the ICS '92 Crew! Another supporter was my high school buddy who I catch up with when he comes home. We always have great convo and good laughs and this time was no exception. We just added Uptempo to the mix. It's all so wonderful! So far I'm aware of Uptempo having gone to (or being on the way to) New York, New Jersey, Georgia, North Carolina, MIssissippi, Virginia, and Maryland. One of these days I'll have covered all fifty states...and then some.
Until then...I'll keep pinching myself as a reminder that, Yes, that really is my book!
