Welcome to my new blog and thanks for visiting!
It's been an eventful week! Just over a week ago I launched www.nakiadjohnson.com and let the word out that my debut novel, Uptempo, was available. First, allow me to thank everyone for your support. It's been phenomenal! As I develop the blog here and update the website and Facebook pages, I will continue to send my shout outs. Check out the Acknowledgements page of the site at www.nakiadjohnson.com/Acknowledgements.html where I list my "Weekly Thanks & Highlights." I'll begin archiving them here at the blogspot (as soon as I figure out how! =)).
So, what has this first week looked like? It's been exciting, humbling, fun, busy, and so much more! In other words, the roller coaster ride of publshing continues. I've loved every minute of signing books, delivering books, hearing comments, meeting and greeting--all of it! I've only had a lifetime to prepare for this dream-come-true opportunity so I think I'll stay on for the ride.
As I continue to gleefully sign books and the like, I now look forward to getting your feedback about the book. You'd be surprised how reading can bring people together. Read with a friend, a group, or a bookclub. Start a discussion here at the blogspot, on FB, or in person! Let me know how you choose to read. I'd love to hear from you!
I'll be blogging often but at the moment, like most of you, have a few more Christmas preparations to tend to.
